I teach 21st-century computer skills in a Project-Based Learning environment designed to take students beyond the walls of the computer lab and into a world of endless opportunities. Students are encouraged to ask questions about what they watch, hear, and read in the media. I promote and reinforce innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organization over the span of the school year. Students graduate from middle school with the technical skills required to be competitive and successful, not only in high school but in a global and digital world.
A workspace lab was created to foster collaborative design projects. The makerspace is primarily used by the robotics team but is open to students, staff, and faculty. It highlights new kinds of iterative, interdisciplinary teamwork using cutting-edge tools of rapid prototyping and digitally driven production.

In 6th-grade students create video autobiographies using iMovie. They write a script, collect media, and arrange content on a timeline to tell their story. Students learn to manipulate images, cut video, and export various video file formats.
